Pooppy - Terms of Use

These terms cover the Pooppy app for iPhone and Apple Watch and the Pooppy Pro subscription. Your licence to use the app itself comes from Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add what is specific to Pooppy. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

What Pooppy is - and isn't

Pooppy is a diary for your dog's digestion, meals, walks and care. Its predictions, flags, summaries and the vet report are estimates drawn from what you and your household log. They are not veterinary advice and not a diagnosis. If you're worried about your dog, ask your vet; in an emergency, contact a vet straight away.

Free and Pro

Pooppy is free to use: the full diary, walks, widgets, the next window in the app, the vomit alert and the data export need no subscription. Pooppy Pro adds:

• Your household - inviting others to log the same dogs, photos included.
• Notifications and alarms - a heads-up before the next predicted bathroom window, and house-training alarms.
• The vet report - the PDF you can share with your vet.

Features can change as the app develops; the app always shows what Pro includes before you subscribe.

Subscriptions and billing

• Pooppy Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. The app shows each plan with its price and length, in your currency, before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase - or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account's subscription settings on your device, or from Profile → Pooppy Pro in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies - you can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Deleting your Pooppy account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings as well.

Households

One member's Pro covers the whole household: everyone in a household where someone has Pro gets the Pro features while they're a member, and joining such a household is free. If the member whose plan covers the household leaves, or their Pro ends, the others keep the features only while someone else in the household has Pro. Apple's Family Sharing is not available for Pooppy Pro - the household is how Pro is shared.

When Pro ends

Nothing is deleted. Your dogs, everything logged, photos, the reports you've already shared and your household all stay; your settings are kept for when Pro comes back. Only the Pro features stop: new invites, prediction notifications and alarms, and creating new vet reports.

Pro we grant

We may give Pro to some accounts - beta testers, for example - for a set time or without an end date, at our discretion. A grant isn't a purchase: nothing is charged, and it lasts as long as stated when it was given.

Your account and your data

You're responsible for your account and for what you log. Your data stays yours: you can export it or delete your account at any time from Profile in the app, as the Privacy Policy describes. Please don't misuse the service - for example by trying to reach other people's data, interfering with our servers, or adding false product facts to the shared food database.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Pooppy running and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. If these terms change, the new version is posted at this address. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
